Despite this provision in the law, women and girls with disabilities in Kenya, still face numerous challenges in access to sexual and reproductive health.

Policy Brief on the Sexual Reproductive Health Rights of Women and Girls with Disabilities(Closed)

While sexual and reproductive health and rights may now be more visible on main political agendas globally, regionally and nationally, there has been less meaningful implementation regarding inclusion of women with disabilities. The reality is that women with disabilities face a myriad of challenges in relation to their sexual and reproductive health and rights.

As a Trustee, you will be involved in several Board and Committee meetings throughout the year. Generally, the Board participates in up to 4 meetings (half day to one full day). Board meetings are held at This Ability Trust hub in Thogoto, Kikuyu and via teleconference (for up to 2 hours) from time to time. There is an expectation that you will attend and participate in all the scheduled Board meetings, and activities to represent This Ability Trust and other special meetings or attendance as necessary.

We envision a society in which women and girls with disabilities live fully integrated lives socially, economically and politically, with their rights respected and upheld. We work to increase access to sexual and reproductive health rights for women and girls with disabilities in Kenya, South Sudan and The Gambia. To conduct an institutional audit for This Ability for the period January 2022 to December 2022 as per the various donor regulations in relation to the contracts available that cover the audited period. The required service of external audit will be rendered at This Ability Trust’s offices as situated in Thogoto, Kikuyu.
