Terms of Reference (ToR): Digital Dada Advocates (SRHR & SGBV Leadership Program)
Program Alignment: SKILLs • PAZA • MAMA SIRI
- Background
This Ability Trust is a women-led nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of women and girls with disabilities across Kenya and the region. The Trust leverages technology to promote inclusive healthcare, train healthcare providers, strengthen community systems, and use data for evidence-based advocacy.
Digital exclusion remains a major barrier to empowerment. Only 6% of women with disabilities in low-income countries have access to digital tools (UN, 2022). This limits access to SRHR information, civic participation, and employment. The Digital Dada initiative responds to this gap by building digital literacy, leadership, and advocacy capacity among young women with disabilities.
In 2025, the program will evolve into a Digital Dada Advocacy Leadership Cohort, integrated across three flagship programs:
- SKILLs Program – builds knowledge and digital competencies in Disability-Inclusive SRHR, Policy Advocacy, and Digital Literacy
- PAZA Program – drives policy influence, civic engagement, and data-driven advocacy using the Hesabika platform.
- Mama Siri Program – anchors community engagement through inclusive SRHR and SGBV response systems, with Mama Siri Hubs and helpline networks.
Together, these pillars form a sustainable ecosystem for digital empowerment, policy advocacy, and community action.
